Danielle Ficka-Farrar
I created Horizon Counseling to be a space where people can explore the deeper layers of their lives — not just what’s happening on the surface, but the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape everything underneath.
My work is relational and systemic, which means I focus on how your experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns are connected. Many of the struggles people face don’t exist in isolation — they develop over time, through the environments and relationships we’ve been part of.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in patterns they don’t fully understand. Together, we begin to make sense of those patterns, build emotional awareness, and create new ways of relating — both to yourself and to others.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to grow, and empowered enough to move forward with clarity and confidence.
“Helping individuals, couples, and families understand the patterns that keep repeating, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change.”
Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern
My collaborative approach is grounded in relational and systemic therapy, with a focus on understanding patterns rather than just managing symptoms. I integrate elements of solution-focused, emotionally focused therapy, Bowenian family systems, and person-centered work to help clients develop deeper awareness, strengthen connection, and create lasting change.
This work is not about quick fixes — it’s about understanding what keeps showing up, and learning how to move through it differently.
